Waking up to a tasty breakfast and awesome coffee while soaking in a beautiful view 🌅. the rooms were comfy and cool, and the folks working here were super friendly. Plus, it's in a great spot with plenty of restaurants around for convenience.

The staff were amazing, exceptional services. The location of the property was amazing and great, close to the sea. For short-orders there was The Fish Lady, we found it close by.

Very enjoyable stay, we were there for 4 days. Loved this nice hotel because of stunning position along with amiable staff. Location: the property was so close to the sea, shops, bars, clubs and restaurants, and De Kelders and Kleinbaai. Furthermore, on the bay. The room was tidy and beautiful and had shared bathroom plus an electric kettle and glassware. Sea view was a pleasant bonus.

The Gansbaai Boarding Lodge exceeded our expectations with its old-world charm and affordable rates. The renovated rooms were cozy and clean, and we loved the character of the property. The enclosed veranda provided a stunning sunset view. The staff was helpful in arranging activities and recommending local restaurants. Despite a few minor drawbacks, like the uncomfortable bed and unclean water, we would still highly recommend this hotel for its warm atmosphere and stylish simplicity. we had a wonderful stay at the Boarding Lodge.

The Boarding Lodge had a lovely vintage charm that reminded me of my younger years. The original features of the property added to its character, making it a cozy and comfortable place to stay. I particularly enjoyed the easy accessibility of the hotel, which was important for me as a senior woman. The walk to the excellent restaurants recommended by Aaron, the exceptional host, was safe and pleasant. Additionally, the short drive to De Kelders and Kleinbaai allowed for convenient exploration of the surrounding areas. The staff at the lodge were friendly and provided great service throughout my stay, ensuring that I had a memorable experience.

The only thing I would have asked for to make the vacation even better for senior people is larger text size in the written materials. The children working there were very helpful, but sometimes it was a bit challenging to read the small print.

We had a wonderful stay at Boarding Lodge in Gaansbai. Aaron, the owner, and his staff were exceptional. They made us feel welcome and even allowed us to check in early. the place itself is very comfortable, with a sunny balcony where you can relax and enjoy a cup of tea or a glass of wine. the rooms were cozy with great sheets and fluffy towels. Aaron went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time, even arranging transportation for us to a nearby wine festival. a fantastic experience and we highly recommend Boarding Lodge to anyone visiting Gaansbai. Cons: Not one thing 🙌🏼.
